What is the difference between leadership and management ? The main difference between leaders and managers is that leaders have people follow them while managers have people work for them.

Ideally you need both to succeed : a strong leader & a strong manager . Leadership is about people  understanding & believing  in your vision , while management is about administering the day-to-day things that adds up to one's total success .
